Crazy Dog Lady – Teething Puppies

                Teething puppies can be a handful they tend to chew anything that they can get. Chewing things from furniture, shoes, to toys and rugs. Here are a few tips for teething puppies, hope you guys find these tips helpful.

 

Teething Tips:

Get a washcloth wet, and then freeze it for a couple of hours. After freezing give it to your puppy, not only is it a cheap and healthy toy for your pup the cold washcloth helps their sore gums.

Don’t buy plastic toys for your pup, only cloth. The reason why is because if your puppy eats the toys plastic could cut up their insides, whereas cloth would just pass. If your puppy eats something and your concerned call your vet, it’s better to be safe than sorry!

Make a toy that is for CHEWING only. Do not let them sleep with it or take it outside, whether it’s the washcloth or something else. By making that toy the chewing toy they know that when they want to chew they can chew that.

Don’t let your puppy chew furniture, if they start to tell them “NO!” Move them away from the furniture and Give them the “Chewing Toy”.

Crazy Dog Lady – The Overview

                Okay, I know what you’re thinking “What the heck is ‘Crazy Dog Lady’”?  Well, Crazy Dog Lady is a Blog Series that I am making that is ALL ABOUT dogs. With 6 dogs of my own yes, that’s right SIX! I’ve had lots of learning along the way when come to training and everything else that goes along with dogs. I have received a lot of questions for any advice that I have such as, potty training, introducing dogs to each other, etc. I’ve adopted all my dogs from my local shelter and for some reason people seem to think that dogs from a shelter were abused or are bad dogs. That can be true about them being abused, only one of my six dogs was abused, but her story is for another post. I will make a post for each of my dogs, and their stories. I hope that “Crazy Dog Lady” is a series that you guys will like and learn from. Just to let you all know I am NOT a professional dog trainer, I am NOT a vet, and every dog is different. What works for my dogs might not work for yours.
